Hot days still! That's not news but fact. This week is the " back to school " fair. Fun day on August 21 from 10 am-1 pm at Vader Assembly of God. The food bank is open the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at the Vader Assembly of God church. Thank you Pastor Tracy for all the great community programs. For details on any of the church programs please call 295-3756.
Have you noticed the "little red train" at Werden Park. Community members donated some of the signs along with park board members to create this vintage display next to the historic jail in May of this year. The train is on loan from Randy Mead . One of the new grills at Werden Park has been installed and a second one is scheduled for the new park extension.
Do you need a notary? Mt. St. Helens Grocery and City Hall both offer this service. For a copy or fax J&G Grocery is the place. Need to register to vote? The post office has the form.
Garage sale etiquette: " date your signs and remove your signs when sale is over "keep our community clean" by removing all your signs and posters etc.
Zillow lists 19 homes and land For Sale in Vader. There is still room for new residence to move in. Looking for an interested person to do the "Welcome Baskets/ packets". It's such a nice warm way to say "Welcome" to our community. In the past the VCL did the baskets.
City Council meetings are 2nd and 4th Thursday at 6 pm. These meetings are open to the public and are very interesting to attend. It's a great opportunity to interact with city officials, sign up for public comment and voice your opinion or comment.
Council member Andy Wilson is seeking photo's of past Vader Mayors. Drop by City Hall and check out this display. Perhaps you can help by providing a missing photo in his display?
Question: what happens when people move and leave their pets behind? Does anyone know what to do with these animals?
