The Lewis County Sheriff's Office is releasing the following information pursuant to RCW 4.24.50, which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public when the release of information will enhance public safety and protection.

In 2002 Maloney was convicted of Rape of a Child 3rd Degree in Lewis County Superior court. The offense involved Maloney having sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl when he was 24 years old. As a result of the conviction he was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Maloney also has a 1994 conviction for Rape of a Child 1st Degree in Lewis County Juvenile Court. That crime took place between 1993 and 1994 and involved Maloney (then 16 years old) having sexual contact with a 6-year-old male and a 6-year-old female who were relatives. As a result of that conviction he was sentenced to 156 weeks in custody with the Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration. Maloney was last released from confinement on 07/13/06.
