Winlock Egg Day Rolling Parade Route
The official Winlock Egg Days was canceled, but the community stepped up to have an unofficial Egg Day parade along with egg salad sandwiches. There are plans to have a street dance in the evening by The Club Tavern. The residents of Winlock love their Egg Day celebration and it would take a lot to stop them from enjoying the day.
On Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. the unofficial Egg Day rolling parade will start. This year it is a rolling parade with a route through downtown starting at the Winlock Miller Elementary grade school and continuing on NW Arden, W.Walnut, SW Kerron,NE Fir, NE Front, SE Campbell, SE First and ending on NE Fir. Line up will begin at 10:00 a.m., head down to the school to get your place in line.
The parade this year is not themed, anything goes, within reason of course. There is no entry fee, so polish up that car, bike, motorcycle, or bring your horse and enjoy the rolling car parade. This year is the year to show off whatever mode of transportation you would like. Dress up, have fun, show your excitement.
Egg salad sandwiches are a staple on Egg Day, so even though it's unofficial, they will still be available. Egg salad sandwiches will be handed out along the route.
The Club Tavern is having a street dance that evening, if everything is approved. It's truly up to the Liquor Control Board but our hope is with the possible approval of phase 3 for Lewis County, The Club will have their annual street dance.
Please join the community to enjoy the unofficial Egg Day!!
