Robert Sounvonnakasy holding his new book The Prescott Legacy, an Urban/Fantasy novel set in Seattle.
Local man, Robert Sounvonnakasy is excited to announce the publication of his new book The Prescott Legacy.
The Prescott Legacy is an Urban/Fantasy novel that takes place in Seattle and is about a young man, a university student, who possesses the supernatural power of healing. The main theme of the story is about giving a second chance in life and tackles issues like unhealthy lifestyles, cancer awareness, STDs, domestic violence, violence against women, and a few more. The book is mostly for readers of young adults 18 years of age and older.
Robert answered a few questions from the Herald:
Herald: What area in Pacific County do you live in? How Long?
Robert: I was born and raised in South Bend, Washington, back in 1983. I've lived in South Bend most of my life until I graduated from South Bend High School back in June 2002.
After high school, I did quite a bit of traveling, and worked at odd jobs that provided room and board for their employees. At one point I went to Grays Harbor College for a couple of years, but I eventually dropped out to continue to travel.
As of now, I live in Raymond with just my daughter and I living together. I've been living back in the area for nearly 12 years now.
Herald: What inspired you to write?
Robert: I've read quite a few Harry Potter books, and a few Hunger Games series. Both gave me some form of inspiration. However, storylines in video games really do it for me to write books. Game designers like Hideo Kojima, Yoko Taro, and Todd Howard have such fascinating stories in their video games that they inspired me to write books. Comic books legend Stan Lee was also a major contributing factor for me to write a novel, including Akira Toriyama; the main guy who created the Dragonball series.
Herald: When and where will your book be available?
Robert: The physical book will be available in late May on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, Bookshop.com and Lulu. Currently, it's available now as an ebook on Amazon Kindle. Furthermore, those who have Kindle Unlimited can read it for free.
I will also carry several physical copies for those who want to personally buy from me. It'll be signed copies which will be available after the first week of May. For now, readers can contact me through messenger on my facebook author's page (Robert Sounvonnakasy). The price of the book will be $20. I accept money orders, PayPal, Venmo, and cash.
There are no plans for it to be in local libraries yet. But I'm open to that option as well.
Officially, the book is published through multiple channels, like Amazon KDP, Primedia eLaunch LLC, Bookbaby.com, and Gorham Printing. These are self publishing services for indie authors like myself.
Herald: What are your future plans?
Robert: My plan is to write multiple sequels and spinoffs for the Prescott Legacy main entry. I have a far-reaching goal in mind to focus on making my stories as more intriguing as possible, so that one day Netflix, Hulu, or even Amazon Prime will come making offers to turn my stories into a TV series.
To my readers, I look forward to hearing your opinions on the stories I tell through books, regardless if it's a favorable opinion or not. Your time and opinion matters.
