K9 demostration happened this last weekend where the dogs enjoyed themselves just as much as the audience.
The Raymond Police Department held a K9 demonstration for Ciko where they demonstrated the abilities and different applications in situations that the police dog can be used for. The police officer that was demonstrating made motions for the dog to hold onto a toy or practice dummy. The police dogdemonstrated the command. In the demonstration the officer stacked four plastic barrels together as a type of obstacle for the K9 to jump up onto, and would also run the dog through certain routines that are used for different situations. The demonstration also contained a segment where the dog was tasked with biting the practice training arm that individuals wear for training k9s. In this segment the dog demonstrated the speed that he could accost an individual, and according to certain commands Ciko would act accordingly, grabbing the man's hand, and rushing back to the officer. Ciko also demonstrated his grip strength by holding onto the training arm as the officer swung him. At the end of the demonstration kids got to pet Ciko.
