Friday, October 30 around 1:30 p.m. the Raymond Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed RV in a backyard on 8th Street in Raymond. Once on scene crews discovered flames erupting from the RV and heavy dense smoke.
Initial witnesses were unsure if the lone occupant was still inside and not sure if we was able to get out. Another witness came forward and reported he had just drive the man to a store. An Officer from Raymond and a Pacific County Deputy quickly determined that the RV was unoccupied.
A fire crew from Raymond knocked down the fire within minutes and kept the fire from spreading to a nearby residence and out building. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was hurt during the fire and the RV is a total loss.
