Elixir Café and Floral Design hosted the first Paint and Sip on the Willapa April 9. The event was organized by Sam Stephens, Rachel Stanton, and JoDean Jordan.
Twenty-two people gathered to sip on wine, eat tasty appetizers, and paint a bright picture of flowers in front of a sunset. It was a successful night filled with laughter and creativity that resulted in all proceeds benefiting Crime Victims Awareness.
This event would not have been possible had it not been for the generosity of many people in the community. And for that, a huge thank you goes out to the following sponsors who contributed their time, money and supplies: Trish Bisbee, Jan Norman, Pitchwood Alehouse and Inn, Eric Velotta, Jessica Porter, Keya Bernhardt, Caleb Doyle, Steve Silvernail, Lyle Miller, The Montgomery Family, Jennifer Swogger, Westport Yachts, and Nancy Nisbit.
Due to the overwhelming support and excitement about this event, there will be more to follow. The next one is scheduled for June, and will take place at the Carriage Museum.
For more information about upcoming dates and how to get involved, check out the Paint and Sip on the Willapa Facebook page. More information will follow regarding registration dates, procedures, and cost.
