The North Pacific County Shop With a Cop was held on Saturday, December 12.
Twenty kids selected from Raymond, South Bend, Valley and Shoalwater Bay had the pleasure of getting a ride from a cop to the Elks in Raymond, where they were served breakfast. During breakfast the kids got to meet Santa and tell him their Christmas wishes.
They also played a raffle for a bicycle, a pack of board games and the position of lead car in the "parade" that they were to be in.
After breakfast the kids went with their designated police officer out to the parking lot where they were allowed to play with the sirens and lights inside the police vehicles.
After the kids were satisfied running the sirens the police vehicles paraded out and around town before going to Dennis Company.
At Dennis Company the kids received a $100 allowance to spend on anything they want in the store.
The schools selected the kids and matched up with officers from the Raymond, South Bend, Shoalwater Bay departments as well as the Pacific County Sheriff's Office.
Dennis Company provided $50 in store credit for every kid with the rest of the spending money provided by other sponsors. Major sponsors for this year's Shop With a Cop included: Dennis Company, Weyerhaeuser, The Lions Club, The Eagles, The American Legion and the Friends of Weyerhaeuser.
