Need something to lift up your spirits during the holiday season? Trying to decorate in order to shake the COVID blues? Just need an extra roll of wrapping paper? Try the Liquidation Warehouse in Raymond. They carry many seasonal items along with food staples and other fun stuff.
Located at 350 Blake St., this little store is tucked away off Hwy 101 behind Dennis Company. The owner Nick Delin is sprucing up the store to encourage more holiday shoppers to come in and spend their money locally.
"So we purchased lots of inventory over the past few weeks, added more lighting, and shelf space," said Nick. "[We] added some new employees. We are working on the exterior trying to get signs painted."
The Liquidation Warehouse has new items like baby and pet supplies. They have gift items scattered throughout the store and even have unique items as well.
"We have lots of Christmas items at low cost," said Nick, "tons of candy and gift blankets." These are the soft, furry blankets with artistic images that could go on your bed or hung on the wall like a tapestry.
Even though COVID has hit every small business hard, the Liquidation Warehouse has still found that they can still give back to the community.
"We have been donating product to the food bank all year long," said Nick. "We estimate around 7-10K, at the least, we have donated in goods. We try to help as we can." Donations have included bottled water, dairy products, meats, bread, and canned goods.
The COVID restrictions have impacted the warehouse. According to Nick, they have lost sales because people are not working so they are not shopping like they were before COVID-19. Without jobs people "have little to no money to spend," said Nick.
The Liquidation Warehouse is following the COVID restrictions to create a safe environment to shop in. All the employees are following the state guidelines. They are keeping things sterilized and wearing masks.
"I always wear my mask," said cashier Dane Chapman. The staff asks you to please wear a mask while in the store and shopping.
"We've always got new inventory coming in," Dane said. "You never know what you are going to get. It is kind of like shopping in a treasure trove. You will always be greeted with a friendly smile and great customer service."
"Shop here first because you might find what you are looking for at a better price," he continued.
The Liquidation Warehouse is open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To see some of their newest inventory find them on Facebook @raymondWA98577.
