Starting the year off right, the Toledo Indians Girls Basketball team took on the Pe Ell Trojans. Following the JV game, the Varsity Girls started their game at 7:15 on January 6th.
The start of the game quickly shifted to the Indians advantage as they took the tip off and began to run up the score on the Trojans. With amazing points made by Josie Bowen, Anna Tauscher, and Ally Bacon, the Indians quickly wrapped up the first two quarters of the game. When the game reached half time, The Indians had the lead with 20 to 12.
Following the halftime, Toledo returned to the game with the same high intensity. With this great intensity and passion, the Indians never slowed down their progress and ability to rub Pe Ell deeper into their defeat. Not once did the girls lose their momentum and they finished the game with 50 to 18.
After the game on the 6th, Toledo faced Wahkiakum on the 8th and suffered a loss of 62 to 44. The Indians will play again on Wednesday, January 13 away against the Adna Pirates.
