The Raymond Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Welsh Street in Raymond. The crew arrived on the scene around 8:30am.
Reports cite heavy white smoke that was coming from the upstairs and roof of the structure. Crews entered the structure and knocked down the fire that was upstairs. Crews remained at the site for another two hours to extinguish smaller fires that were in the walls and the attic. Nobody was at home at the time that the fire broke out, and the structure suffered extensive damage from fire, heat and water.
The Raymond Fire Department responded with 2 Fire Engines, a Medic Unit, a support vehicle and a command unit. Fourteen firefighters were on scene, and at around 11:49am the scene was cleared.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
