Napavine Fire Department answers the call of duty to help in the California fires.
The Napavine Fire Department has answered the call of duty and will be assisting in the fires located in Napa, California.
Matt Wallace, Brad Bozarth and Chief Kevin Van Egdom with a structural engine are part of a striker force of 17 fire fighters from Washington who have traveled to California. They have 5 fire trucks with them and the necessary number of firemen to help.
Wallace stated, "they needed us and it's the right thing to do." This is just another example of the wonderful people who live in our small towns in South Lewis County. They are there to help, they have no idea what their assignments will be but they are going down to California and will be gone approximately 2-3 weeks.
Bob Bozarth, father of Brad Bozarth, stated, "We are glad he had the opportunity to go, we are proud of this team of firefighters for going to California to help those in need."
Thank you Napavine Fire Department for helping the country see what a great team you are. Be safe and we look forward to your return home.
