In celebration of Hoquiam 125th anniversary, the Polson Museum and 7th Street Theatre are presenting "Hoquiam in the 1890s" on Friday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. This feature-length slide presentation held at the Theatre will draw on the Polson's extensive glass plate negative collection of images from the 1890s. It was a very different world then and we've got the photos to prove it! Wooden streets and sidewalks, floods, horse-drawn transportation, sawmills, livestock downtown, multiple feet of snow in the winter, windjammers under construction and docked loading lumber, end every manner of business operating from a wooden storefront. Did we mention more sawmills!?! The doors will open at 6:15, admission for adults is $5.00 and we're admitting anyone under 18 for FREE!
