In its 51st year in Hoquiam the Loggers Playday brings multitudes of local Grays Harbor residents as well as many from outside the county to enjoy a full festival of logging celebration.
One internal celebration was bestowed upon parade Clown Paul Mackenzie, who has been a part of the Loggers Day celebration for the past 50 years. Riding his ATV to a screeching halt to speak with kids along the route and at times giving out that special hug. It has been suggested that possibly this clown should be the next Grand Marshal for an upcoming Loggers Day Parade even with him talking about retiring. Mackenzie was given a plaque honoring his longevity in supporting the parade.
And when the people have finished with the Elks Grand Parade they go through the streets and see what is new with vendors, food and art that is on display, as they get ready for the festivities held at Olympic Stadium to see who will be crowned "All Around Logger" this year.
Here are the results for the Parade and Loggers Playday.
