Many community members came to Winolequa Park on Saturday morning at 9 to help clean up the park.
The park has been home to Winlock Youth Baseball for many years and has been due for a large scale clean up. The park itself was home to end of the season tournaments and regular season games, but home games have decreased with the lack of upkeep at the park and there have been no tournaments played at Winlock for years.
The heads of the Winlock Youth Baseball wanted to clean the park up in order to bring more games and the tournaments back to Winlock to help with the sales of concessions which goes back to the kids and the youth baseball teams. More clean-up projects and other community service projects to benefit the park will be announced.
