On a personal note: this season helps recalibrate my perspective, seeing the silver lining in every cloud. Recent arsons in South King County hit my old neighborhood. While saddened by the news, present-day blessings illuminate my life.
What are you thankful for?
Pat says: all our kind patrons who donate books, DVD's, talking books and financial contributions, creating a full, robust Community Library. Wonderful volunteers who keep it running.
Diana says: The Mighty Fine Seniors who host community breakfasts monthly and dinners regularly, rest area coffee stops and dozens of fundraising efforts. Patrons who support classes and events at the Senior Center.
Rene says: The community for supporting FCCLA students. City of Toledo for proclaiming December 3 FCS Day. Students who earn their honors daily.

Brooke says: Toledo Elementary offering sponsorship opportunities to install 16 new cedar raised beds. This school garden teaches where food comes from, recycling and composting, pollination, organic gardening practices, health and nutrition plus more. The kids love it, spending recess time in the garden on Garden Science Days. Commemorative plaques for individual and company sponsorships. $150/each, $290/two beds.
