Toledo honors Mother's Day with formal tea

Volunteers with the Toledo Community Library were pleased to treat guests to a formal Mother's Day tea on Saturday as the library's list of offerings and events continue to grow. Organized by local resident Lynn Hanson, the tea had been the second such formal gathering Hanson had put together for the library, with similar events expected later in the year. Hanson was quick to acknowledge the contributions of those such as Pat Caldwell, who allowed use of the building, the Morgan Arts Centre, who helped provide tables and chairs, Linda Gorremans, who served as assistant tea-lady, and Anna Melkers, who has been organizing formal teas locally for close to a decade and was described by Hanson as a "special guest."
