The premier wood carving, art show and music festival happens on Saturday & Sunday, August 14 and15 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tokeland - Woodfest has returned to the quaint village of Tokeland. One of the most popular events on the south beach in Pacific County. Make your plans to join this magical gathering where artists, wood carvers and musicians come together for a great time.
"Woodfest brings out the best in folks who appreciate unique and high energy art created by chainsaws while listening to live music," said internationally acclaimed wood artist Jeffro Uitto of Knock on Wood.
This year's carvers are among the best in the country including Jeff Samudosky. Jeff was filmed in the first chainsaw reality television show Saw Dogs which aired on the Discovery channel. Josh Blewitt from Ridgefield Washington will be here as well. He is the creator of amazing spheres and the welcome signs for Long Beach and Ocean Park Washington complete with beautifully carved humpback whales.
In harmony with the sound of chainsaws, a stellar line-up of musicians will take the stage both Saturday and Sunday including Hellbound Glory, an American country and roots rock band featuring singer-songwriter Leroy Virgil. Virgil describes the band's style as "Americana," with influences from "Hank Williams, Nirvana, and Hank Williams Jr."
Other bands include Alessandra Rose and Daniel 'Mudcat' McKinstry who rounds out the headliners with his downhome "roots of rock and roll" sound.
This festival of wood, saws, art and music takes place on the grounds of the Tokeland Hotel and Restaurant on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on August 14 and 15.
Woodfest started in 2007 and continues its tradition of being an event not to miss.
