New Winlock store offering furniture and local artwork

Residents and visitors in Winlock will notice a new storefront right by the corner of First St. and Walnut St.

Adriana’s Lost and Found, at 205 NE First St., has joined the downtown core with the intent of providing low-cost, high-quality furniture as well as consignment opportunities for local artists.

Owner Adriana Ward said she and husband Eddie Ward decided to take their experience in the food services industry and apply it to the world of resale, with the hope of providing local residents access to home decorations and furnishings more typical of large, urban shops, but without the large, urban prices.

“It’s really important to keep Main St. alive in this town,” she said of her decision to set up shop in Winlock, stating she hopes her store can provide a relaxed, straightforward approach to the experience of buying furniture.

Visitors to Adriana’s Lost and Found will find most of the furniture in the main room in the back, including dinette sets, entertainment centers, desks, and end tables, all of which will be changing regularly as new inventory moves in and out of the store.

Up front, with high visibility from the street, are an array of consignment items from area artists, which do include furniture, but also birdhouses, jewelry, Native American art and other items.

“We will not discriminate against anyone’s artwork,” said Eddie Ward, with the couple stating they were able to establish many contacts with local craftspeople during the store’s opening day on Saturday.

Whether looking for a new dining room or something creative for your front porch, the Wards say they are perfectly fine with window shoppers and those who are simply curious about what the store offers.

“Fee comfortable to walk in as you are,” said Eddie Ward. “We want to make it a nice experience for everyone.”

Many of the furniture items in Adriana’s Lost and Found are acquired through estate sales and other sources throughout the area and new inventory is expected to rotate in and out on a regular basis.
