After a couple of months of reprieve from the pandemic, COVID-19 cases are rising in Pacific County. Over the past 2 weeks, there have been some new hospitalizations, a death, and more cases.

"I think the increase in cases is due to a few things," said Pacific County Public Health and Human Services Director Katie Lindstrom. "First, the Delta variant which is about twice as contagious makes up the majority of cases. Second, the vast majority of cases are happening in people who are unvaccinated.
