There is nothing more critical to the quality of our lives than our relationships, and nothing is more critical to our relationships than how we communicate.

That ambitious statement is the introduction to the Centralia College Feb. 12 Lyceum presentation by Dr. John Stewart, author of U&ME: Communicating in Moments that Matter. His presentation and his book show how to improve the quality of your life by improving your everyday communicating.

Lyceum begins at 1 p.m. in Washington Hall, located at the corner of Washington Ave. and Walnut St., on the Centralia College campus.

Stewart, a native of Centralia, is a Centralia College Distinguished Alumnus Award honoree, author and noted interpersonal communicator. He taught at the University of Washington prior to joining the staff at the University of Dubuque as vice president for academic affairs then later as special assistant to the president.

Copies of his book, U&ME: Communicating in Moments that Matter, will be available.

Stewart is the editor, author or coauthor of 27 books and numerous book chapters and articles.
