Bank of the Cascades, a Northwest-focused community bank, officially opened for business Monday in Willapa Bay at 314 Duryea Street in Raymond, formerly a
Bank of America branch location. Late last year, Bank of the Cascades agreed to acquire Bank of America's local branch and deposit customers, and committed to serve as a local financial partner to Raymond residents, businesses and community.
"Bank of the Cascades is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the economic strength of Raymond," said Julie Miller, Bank of the Cascades' Oregon president.
"We believe our deeply rooted commitment to the community will be a great foundation to serve local businesses and individuals with banking that provides customer-centric value, as well as value to the community, "As Bank of the Cascades customers, residents and businesses will have the satisfaction of knowing that where they bank really matters," Miller said. "Unlike our big bank competitors, customer deposits at Bank of the Cascades will remain local and are reinvested directly back into Raymond to help local businesses expand, increase home-ownership, support the work of worthy nonprofits, and much more."
Bank of the Cascades also added former Bank of America branches in the Western Washington communities of Cathlamet and Westport. In each community, the bank was pleased to extend offers of continued employment to the former Bank of America employees and provide for continuity of service from great local bankers.
Headquartered in Bend, Oregon, Bank of the Cascades is now (as of the close of this acquisition on March 4, 2016) Oregon's largest community bank with $3.2 billion in assets and 52 branches throughout Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
The bank is proud to deliver on its objective to serve the financial needs of its local communities with the comprehensive consumer and business banking solutions of a larger institution and the personalized service and attention of a smaller bank.
