Mayor Bradshaw, Cy's daughter Lisa, grand-daughter Kirsten, grandson John and Cy's son Sam
On April 9, 2018 the family of Cy Meyers attended a Winlock City Council meeting where they were presented with a plaque that is now hanging in City Hall. In attendance were Cy's children, Lisa and Sam, along with Cy's granddaughter, Kirsten, and grandson, John.
Cy Meyers passed away earlier this year. He served Winlock as mayor and city council member. During his term in office he was able to expand the Urban Growth Area making it possible for development of Winlock Business and Industrial Park.
Sam Meyers, youngest son of Cy and Bonita, stated, "We are extremely proud of our Dad's service to Winlock, the county and the state. We would like to thank Mayor Bradshaw and city council for honoring our Dad with the plaque. Dad always loved Winlock."
Mayor Bradshaw, who gave the family the plaque, stated, "After I left office and before I came back, Cy was the only one who saw the vision of the Business and Industrial Park. He worked tirelessly to expand the Urban Growth Area to accomplish what was needed for the project at the freeway."
The plaque is located inside City Hall for those who would like to view it. It is hung just outside the door by council chambers.
