The Winolequa Garden Club will be hosting their annual Plant and Bake Sale this coming Friday and Saturday. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., they will be set up at the corner of Front and Fir Streets, just behind 1st Street Styling. I’ve been to this sale, you guys, and there will be plenty of awesome deals. The Olequa Senior Center’s monthly potato bar is scheduled for Thursday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The price of the meal is $7.
Oh, and the senior center is still taking reservations for their Mother’s Day Tea, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7. For just $10, the event includes a lunch at noon, tea, a host of goodies, and a fashion show presented by CJ Banks. The Winlock Timberland Library will be hosting their PageTurners Book Discussion. Adults are invited to get together and talk about this month’s title, which is “Please Look After Mom” by Kyŏng-sook Shin.
For all you comic fans out there, Saturday, May 4th, is Free Comic Book Day at the library! Stop in at the library any time during their usual hours to pick up a free comic book provided by Diamond Comic Distributors.
And, lastly, the library will be presenting Teen Game Night on Wednesday, May 8th, at 5:30 p.m. Teenagers are all invited for a night of DDR, Rock Band, Just Dance, and board games. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Winlock Timberland Library. The library is normally closed at this time and is open only to participants of this event.
