The Washington State Fair Foundation has awarded $1+M in scholarships for students to pursue their dreams in the past 25 years, and this year the excitement is expanding statewide. Now called the Blue Ribbon Scholarship Program, the program has been revamped to give every student in Washington a Fair Chance.
The Washington State Fair Foundation's scholarship program began with just awarding scholarships to Puyallup-area students. The new Blue Ribbon Scholarship Program has expanded to include statewide recipients as well as offering a wide range of other scholarship opportunities.
Washington State Fair's Blue Ribbon Scholarship Program includes:
- Fair Chance Scholarships (14 awarded) - $3,000 each
- Open to all students in Washington: graduating high school seniors, adult learners, current college students
- Minimum GPA of 2.7 required
- Must be employed, volunteering or participating in school-sponsored activity - 8 hrs/month, on average
