“I was very pleased with the efforts of all our golfers today,” Willapa Harbor Tri-District Head Golf Coach Dave Lund told the Herald. “The course conditions on the Links Course at Hawks Prairie were very good considering the recent weather.
“Nicholas Betrozoff and Connor McAllister were head and shoulders above the rest of the competition with their scores of 43,” Lund said. “And, it has been a long time since the Valley boys have been in the 180s.
Below is the local scoring. South Bend and Raymond did not field full teams.
Viking Scoring (189): Connor McAllister (43), Nicholas Betrozoff (43), Cameron McAllister (49), Dylan Barrett (53), Spencer Schwiesow (54), Markus Eastham (57).
Indian Scoring: Miles Davis (53), Zane Johnson (59), Matthew Lewis (79).
Seagull Scoring: John Stigall (56), Landon Maneman (64), Dakota Topping (77).
“Emma Lorton of South Bend was pleased with her round of 58,” Lund said. “It was her career best round. She finished second to Jordyn Wagner (57) of Northwest Christian. The girls from all three schools are going to be very competitive amongst themselves this year, and they are going to get a lot better with the friendly competition.”

The golfers compete at Adna Thursday and host a match Monday.
