Well, the weather did give us a small reprieve and maybe more is on the way. Gardening tips are everywhere with several people wondering about a town garden.
The Lions Club held their yearly election of officers, Carol Broom will take the leadership as President and Lois Wilson as Vice President. Kathy Croawford is now Secretary and Donna Rogers will keep her position as Treasurer. Don Hanson has the auspicious position of "Lion Tamer". A Bingo Night will commence on Friday. The event is sponsored by the Lions and your invited to come and have a fund evening. They also invite you to join them in helping the community, join them on the first Thursday of the month with a potluck starting at 6 p.m. and the third Thursday at 7 p.m.
May Day Celebration Events:
Vendors will be ready to set a festive atmosphere along with a parade and cakewalk. Be sure to be early for all the events.
Vader Assembly of God will be holding a "Used Treasure Sale" on the 4th from 9 – 2 p.m.
The Vader Citizens League will be having another fun time arresting people and bringing them before the Kangaroo Judge along with touring the jails history and pictures behind bars.
The Lions will be open for those participating in the parade along with the Vader Court, donuts, coffee will be available from 8:00am to 10:00am.
