Scheduled to take place May 2 this year, now is the time to starting thinking of ideas for your float or vendor booth to help show pride in your community to the many guests expected to visit town. City Hall has announced the availability of a CPR class on March 7 for local residents, with registration open at this time. Sponsored by the City of Vader, the class will be led by a local instructor certified through the American Heart Association and will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in City Hall. The cost to register is $50 and those wishing to participate are asked to register beforehand so enough training material may be acquired. The next meeting of the Vader City Council will be this Thursday at 6 p.m. in City Hall. Officials are expected to approve a finding of facts regarding their Feb. 12 hearing on a ban against marijuana businesses.
