A Vader man was arrested on multiple charges after being involved in a collision near Battle Ground on Jan. 14, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Jeffery D. Tester, 32, was contacted on SR 503 at Milepost 16, north of Battle Ground, while officers were responding to a collision involving a 2004 Nissan Altima driven by Tester and a 2007 Ford F-150 driven by a 55-year-old Yacolt man.

Through investigation it was learned Tester had been traveling south when he crossed the center line and struck the victim head-on, causing both vehicle to come to rest in the northbound lane. Both vehicles were totaled and Tester and the victim, as well as a 26-year-old female passenger in Tester's vehicle, also from Vader, were transported with unspecified injuries to Peacehealth Southwest Medical Center, in Vancouver.

Additionally it was learned the vehicle driven by Tester had been reported stolen, while his license was also suspended and he was found to be inebriated at the time of the collision. He is subsequently facing charges of DUI, possession of a stolen vehicle and driving while license suspended.
