Thank you, Toledo, for being so generous to the annual Food Bank Toy Drive. Christmas was made brighter for over 170 children in the Toledo Community. Over 90 families were able to choose among a wide variety of toys, and each child received a new pair of pajamas and warm handmade hat. Thank you to the community, all the ladies who made the beautiful hats and scarves and the Toledo FCCLA-SADD Club, the Toledo Grade School, and Mike Croy's 5th grade class, who conducted very successful pajama drive, to Mrs. Wood's 1st grade class that donated over 30 pairs of pajamas, the Toledo Timberland Bank, Toledo IGA Grocery, and Toledo Library who allowed us to place our collection bozes on their floor space.
Many thanks to the Women of the Presbyterian Church for their constant support of this event. Thank you to all the people who donated to the account at the bank throughout the year, to all those individuals that year after year continue to give to this community event. A huge thank you to the "secret" person who donates so pajamas cab be purchased for kids. Warm, cozy pajamas flew out the door! Thank you to the Town Crier for printing the article about the Town Drive in the paper numerous times before the event. The paper's commitment contributed a great deal to the success of the Toy Drive.
We would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers at the Toledo Food Bank for their help with this event and for the service throughout the year to the community of Toledo. The food bank is open twice a month but these volunteers work well beyond two days a month!
Toledo Toy Drive is a very unique event and every year it is a huge success. Thank you, Toledo!!!
Have a wonderful 2015!
