The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank local community members for their help in making the 12th-annual Shop With a Cop program a success.
Donations were used to send deserving kids on a shopping spree at Wal-Mart Dec. 19, accompanied personally by members of law enforcement, which was followed by a ride-along in a real patrol car and pizza, provided by Papa Pete’s.
“Shop With a Cop is an amazing program that touches many lives in a positive manner,” said the Sheriff’s Office in a release published Dec. 20, which thanked its employees, reserves and volunteers, as well as private donors for their support. “This is truly a program that helps us remember what Christmas is really about.”
