The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced razor clam digs for the coming days as forecasts predict sunny weather reaching into the 80s.

Scheduled so far are the following dates and locations, as well as the expected times for low tide in the mornings:

•Apr. 30, Wednesday, 8:03 a.m., -1.2 feet, Twin Harbors, Long Beach.

•May 01, Thursday, 8:43 a.m., -1.0 feet, Twin Harbors, Long Beach.

•May 02, Friday, 9:23 a.m., -0.7 feet, Twin Harbors, Long Beach, Mocrocks.

•May 03, Saturday, 10:04 a.m., -0.3 feet, Twin Harbors, Long Beach, Mocrocks.

•May 04, Sunday, 10:47 a.m., 0.1 feet, Twin Harbors, Long Beach, Mocrocks.

Depending on the turnout for these days, as well as an examination of tocks left over, the state will determine if they will open any digs for later in May.

If you’re hoping to go digging, be sure to pick up your shellfish license, as last year’s licenses expired April 1. A 3-day razor clam license will cost $8.60, while an annual razor clam license will cost $13.

These prices do not include any applicable administrative fees.
