The winner in the color digital category is Randy Rust for his photo entitled, “Lupine”.
The winner in the black and white category is Larry Bale for his sepia toned photo entitled, “ Fishing in Fog”.
Each winner is being given a small monetary award for his or her accomplishment.
The foundation would like to express our appreciation to all contributors, to the owners of the old Antique Mall building for allowing us space, and to all of the people who cast their ballots.
The next winner we would like to announce is Abigail Zimmerman who has won our $500 scholarship award for the 2013-2014 school year. Abigail has been accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance program at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington.
The Willapa Heritage Foundation’s next event will be our annual “Hearts for the Arts” auction. This year the theme will be “That’s Amore” and will be held February 15, 2014 at the Willapa Harbor Community Center in South Bend. Please save the date now for an elegant evening of fine art work, delicious Italian themed hors d’oeuvres, and of course, the silent and live auction. Tickets will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door and will be available at South Bend Pharmacy and Sagan’s Pharmacy in the coming months.
