Ongoing Local Library Programs: Story Times

 All Timberland programs are free of charge unless otherwise noted. Anyone needing special accommodations to participate in a library’s program may contact the library four days in advance.

Readiness for reading and school, positive experiences among families and friends, and growth in the connection between libraries, learning and joy: these are some of the objectives of library story time programs for children from birth to Kindergarten. Following are the regular story time program series being held this season at local Timberland Regional Libraries.

 Preschool Story Time

 For children ages 3 to 6. Join in a program of stories, rhymes, songs and movement games. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join in.

 Raymond Timberland Library: Thursdays, 10-10:30 a.m., February 13-March 27

LOCATION: Willapa Valley Grange, 290 Camp One Rd, Willapa Valley

 Family Story Time

 For children age 6 and younger and their families; all ages are welcome. Join in a program of stories, rhymes, songs and movement games. Children are welcome to bring a favorite blanket and wear pajamas for evening story times.

 Raymond Timberland Library: Wednesdays, 11-11:30 a.m., January 15-May 14

Mother Goose Play Group

For children from birth to Kindergarten and their adults. Drop in Tuesday mornings for stories, rhymes, group games, and chat with other parents and caregivers as children explore books, toys and blocks. A weekly literacy idea will be available to take home. Arrival and departure times are flexible.

South Bend Timberland Library: Tuesdays, 9:30-11 a.m., January 7-May 27

Raymond Timberland Library presents Computer Classes by Appointment, for adults and teens. Call the library at 942-2408 to set up a one-hour lesson in Basic Computer Use, the Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Library Catalog, or Library Databases.

 South Bend Timberland Library presents E-book Help, for adults. For those with a new tablet, smartphone or e-reader, who need help downloading e-books or audiobooks: Sign up for a hands-on help session and learn how to use the library’s digital collections. Call the library at 360-875-5532 or stop by for more information.

 Tuesday, February 4

 South Bend Timberland Library presents Mother Goose Play Group, 9:30 -11 a.m., February 4 for children from birth through kindergarten. Drop in for stories, rhymes and group games, and chat with other parents and caregivers as your children explore books, toys and blocks. Also take home a weekly literacy idea.
