Michael L. Pedrazzetti, 44, of Raymond entered a guilty plea to two counts of delivery of methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Sentencing is scheduled for October 25 at 1:30 p.m. Pedrazzetti entered a plea agreement with the State and will be serving nine years in prison followed by 12 months of probation, whereby he will be required to complete a drug evaluation and treatment.
"I believe Mr. Pedrazzetti's criminal history warranted a significant sentence," said Pacific County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Mark McClain.
Derrick Gill, 42, of Chinook was sentenced Friday following his plea to second-degree assault, domestic violence. This was Gill’s second strike, which means if he gets another one, he’ll be sentenced to life in prison. Gill was handed a 1 year and 10 month prison sentence followed by 1½ years of community custody. His mother spoke at sentencing and asked that he receive help with anger management and that was made a condition of his sentence.
"Mr. Gill entered a guilty plea to strangling his girlfriend of two weeks following an argument," McClain said.
Gill had been arrested on Sept. 20, 2013 when Sheriff's Deputies were called to a domestic dispute. “Initially the victim reported that they were engaged in kinky sex and the neighbors misunderstood the noise coming from the home,” McClain told the Herald. “When a second set of neighbors called authorities a short time later to report Gill physically assaulting his girlfriend near the roadway, officers arrived and observed the victim with mud on her clothing and red marks on her neck. Gill later told deputies that he had choked her, but only after she punched him in the face.” Gill’s original bail for the assault was set at $250,000.
Warren Dixon, 33, is pending a charge of second degree assault and harassment while armed with a firearm. Dixon is alleged to have been in an argument with his wife. Following the argument his wife returned to the home to retrieve a vehicle when Dixon pulled a gun and pointed it at her stating that he was going to kill her. The case is set for trial in December.
Walter Welter, 34, was sentenced to 14 months for escape from community custody and possession of methamphetamine. Welter was arrested on a Department of Correction warrant and while searching him officers found methamphetamine in a pipe, which is used to smoke the drug. "Mr. Welter asked to be sentenced to prison and drug treatment indicating he needs help, and I hope that this gets him the time away from the methamphetamine while in prison and makes the treatment ordered to start off on the right foot," McClain said.
Judge Michael Sullivan denied Erin Rieman's request to withdraw his plea. Rieman, who entered a guilty plea to manslaughter, had requested to withdraw his plea as a result of a witness' subsequent charge of murder. "Mr. Rieman failed to meet the threshold requirement of some irregularity in his guilty plea," said Judge Sullivan in ruling in favor of the State's motion.
Rieman remains in custody and will continue to serve the prison sentence imposed.
Dave Pedrazzetti, 34, Raymond was recently arrested for Possession of narcotics, assault in the fourth degree, possession of stolen property, residential burglary, obstructing a public servant and an outstanding warrant for failure to comply. The drug offense stems from the defendants attempt to sell marijuana to an off duty officer marijuana. Pedrazzetti is currently in jail with a bail was set at $50,000.
Matthew Q. Graham, 51, of Vancouver, was sentenced to a year in prison followed by 36 months of community custody and was further ordered to complete sexual deviancy and alcohol treatment as a condition of his sentence. Graham, speaking to Judge Sullivan at sentencing said he was sorry for what he had done. "None of this would have happened if I hadn't been drinking."
"The victim and her family were entirely supportive of the prison sentence which we requested in this case," McClain said.
In speaking to the sentence, Judge Sullivan indicated to Graham, "I have no sympathy for you sir." But given the victims support of the agreement, followed the sentence recommendation. Graham had entered a guilty plea late last month and was sentenced following the Department of Correction's completion of a Pre-Sentence Investigation. Graham has remained in custody while the matter was pending and will now be transported to prison to complete his sentence.
Stephanie Anderson, 38, was in court last Friday along with Aaron Whitaker, 41, after both were arraigned for charges ofpossession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a firearm. Anderson is in jail with a bail set at $95,000, while Whitaker is staying in the pokey with bail set at $100 grand.
In an interesting case, Jeffery Ashe, 43, is in the county jail afterfollowing his plea to unlawful possession of a firearm. Ashe was brought to the LBPD by a concerned neighbor. Apparently Ashe was contemplating harming himself and believed he was being stalked. Officers secured his firearm and learned that he had been previously convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence offense, which disqualified him from possessing firearms. He entered his plea several weeks ago and is now serving his sentence, which also required he complete mental health treatment.
Casey Riggs, 29, Raymond, is in jail on $15,000 bail on a warrant for failing to appear in District Court and for driving with a suspended license. “Officers are still investigating to determine whether the suspected methamphetamine and heroin located in a backpack belongs to Ms. Riggs,” McClain said.
Andrew Widrow, 37, was sentenced to a year in prison for possession of cocaine.
