The Ocean Shores Fan Fest will be happening the weekend of August 14 to August 16. The festival is a Twelfth Man celebration, and celebrities associated with the Seattle football team will be hosting dinner events for signings and autographs along with professional photos. The Seattle vs. Denver Broncos game on Friday night will be played at the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino with celebrities like Earl Thomas, Derrick Sr. Coleman, and more present. Vendors will be scattered all over the beach area for food and merchandise.
For the last chance for some summer fun before school starts you can come and play on Labor Day weekend, the weekend of September 4, in South Bend. You can expect that there will be pony rides, vendor booths, bouncy toys for the kids, Karaoke, Bingo, Oyster opening contest, hay scramble and salmon derby among other activities. There will be a parade on the Saturday of the weekend.
The Wishkah River Bridge is getting a new sign over it to usher drivers through the "Gateway to the Olympics," later to give directions to the Ocean Beaches as well. The sign will be interchangeable between three designs. There will be a single lane closure near the Wishkah River Bridge during the daytime hours of next week while crews are installing the new welcome sign. Expect the lane closures from 9am to 4pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
