Citizens in need of sandbags should come to the public works shop located behind the Hoquiam City Hall.
A few openings are still available in Grays Harbor College's new program, Commercial Food Prep, which begins in January at the start of Winter Quarter. Instructors will be Candi Bachtell, and her son, Josh Bachtell. The winter quarter courses will meet during evening hours Mondays through Fridays in the Culinary Arts area of Aberdeen High School.

The Dance Club of Grays Harbor's monthly dance is set for Saturday, December 19 at the Masonic Hall in Hoquiam. Free foxtrot lessons start at 7pm, and go till 8pm. The dance will be from 8pm to 10pm and is $9 for members or $12 for guests.
