In January, owner John Burton of All About Accounting merged with Mountain View CPA's. John had purchased All About Accounting a while ago, but the merger added other team members. When it comes to having your Income Tax Returned, it's always wise to have someone very knowledgeable doing your return. Now, there is a team of Mountain View CPAs to help the community.
The merger was official on January 1, 2022. The Lewis County News asked John why he chose to merge, he stated, "Mountain View employs a team of very competent and engaging accountants. I decided that the merger would be the best way to provide excellent service to my clients and maximize my personal professional development."
They also have several locations in Lewis County, per John, "The headquarters are in Chehalis. We have offices in Chehalis, Centralia, Morton, and now Winlock."
John enjoys being in a small community and he has learned about our citizens here, he stated, "This small town has a lot of great people. Many of whom own farms, small businesses, rental property, etc. Growing up in a small town myself, I love helping people in my community launch successful ventures and save on taxes." He enjoys the area, his wife has roots here, he continued, "My wife grew up in Winlock, and I am from Mossyrock. We love small town living, and look forward to continuing to serve the community."
As with most accounting services, there are various services they offer, per John they offer, "We provide tax preparation services, bookkeeping, payroll, as well as business and tax strategic planning. Other services include Attest and Assurance/Audit, IRS Representation, and many other services in the realm of tax and accounting."
Anytime you own a small business, there are challenges that come with purchasing and merging a business, John stated, "The challenges of running a small business are the same in winlock as anywhere else. How do you keep great staff, retain and capture market share, etc.? I will say that I am incredibly thankful for all of my local clients who have stuck with me the last 3 years."
Using an accountant is a great way to save money on taxes. Every year we all dread the income tax return, but if it is handled by those you trust. It becomes a much easier process.
