Wrestlers from Winlock, Toledo and Castle Rock all placed in the top five at the WIAA Mat Classic in Tacoma on Saturday.
Toledo's Dalton Yoder (220) and Castle Rock's Austin Darvell (182 pounds) both grabbed second place in the competition.
Darvell, for one, was not all pleased with his place.
"I keep going over the match wishing it could have ended differently," he said. "I feel like I wrestled well and did a lot of good things in that match. I just wish the outcome would have been different."
Castle Rock's Shawn Godinho (152) and Toledo's Logan Holbrook placed third in their division at the classic.
"Of course I was disappointed that I didn't make it into the finals, but I feel like I left my high school wrestling career on a good note," said Godinho. "I bounced back from my semi finals loss and placed as high as I could."
Holbrook added that he was proud of his accomplishment, stating, "My experience was awesome. I had a of fun and it was very competitive. Definitely an experience I will remember forever. I wrestled very well, which I knew I had to in order to place. My last match I clenched the third place spot and got to end my high school career in a win."
Castle Rock's JoJo Sariagan placed 4th in the 120 pound weight bracket.
"It was an awesome experience to be a part of it," said a very thrilled Sariagan. "It's sad because this was my last year and I'm going to miss [it]."
Winlock's Hannah Randall was the only Winlock participant, male or female to place this year, taking 5th in her weight class.
"It wasn't as overwhelming the second time around," said Randall who went to the Mat Classic last year as a freshman. "I Really enjoyed the support from my family and friends."
