The Aberdeen Police responded to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at 6:43pm on Tuesday, October 27. The collision was reported to take place around the 1000 block of Macfarlane Street. The officers were advised that the vehicle had fled the scene, but were provided the license plate of the fleeing vehicle by a witness to the incident.
The officers contacted the victim who informed them that she did not remember what happened. She was soon evaluated by the Aberdeen Fire Department and transported to the Grays Harbor Community Hospital. She was later transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The Aberdeen Officers responded to the residence of the registered owner of the fleeing vehicle with the information the officers were provided. When they arrived they observed the vehicle parked near the home. Officers contacted the registered owner of the vehicle and took him into custody for Hit and Run Injury Accident. He was also arrested for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree as well as Aberdeen Municipal Court Warrants.
