The May Lewis County Genealogical Society meeting is Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the P.U.D. Auditorium at 345 Northwest Pacific Avenue in Chehalis.

If you want to know how to use the Legacy Family Tree genealogical program or are trying to decide which program to purchase, this is the program for you! Already have Legacy Family Tree? Want to know how to use it effectively? Wonder how to enter this, edit that, or find something?

Our guest, Jerri McCoy, has fifteen years of Legacy experience! Get your questions answered, your problems solved. Jerri will present a program on using the Legacy Family Tree program followed by a Q & A session. You can bring your laptop, tablet, or other electronic device with Legacy on it and get hands-on help.

Jerri has been active in genealogy for about 40 years. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Colonists, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Founders and Patriots of America, the Mayflower Society, the Associated Daughters of Early American Witches, the New England Historic Genealogical Society, the Olympia Genealogical Society, and the Washington State Genealogical Society. Jerri is a past president of two genealogical societies, and has held numerous lineage society offices.

Jerri published two books on her family, and is working on two more. She wrote an article documenting an elusive Mayflower line ancestor, which was published in the “Mayflower Descendants.” She was born and raised in San Diego, California. Jerri received her Bachelor Degree in Math from San Diego State University, and worked in the computer industry for 30 years before retiring a few years ago.

Visitors are welcome. For information call Teresa at 360.237.4797 or check out Genealogical Society’s website at www.walcgs.org.
