Local residents are encouraged to take part in an upcoming spaghetti feed and silent auction to benefit Jeff Fosburg, a firefighter/EMT from Mossyrock currently battling a severe lung infection.
Fosburg has been in the ICU since Dec. 9 with a case of bacterial pneumonia and, though he is expected to recover, he remains in a medically-induced coma and will not return to work for a projected three-to-six months.
A fundraiser is scheduled for Feb. 7 at Lewis County Fire District 8 headquarters, in Salkum, where residents will be able to bid on donated items as well as order plates of spaghetti and other food items. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bidding closes at 8 p.m.
Donations of auction items may also be dropped off at the station on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. between now and Feb. 5. For more information, call (360) 985-2345, or drop by the fire station at 2490 US Hwy 12.
