Dianne Jeanne Barre
Aberdeen resident Dianne Jeanne Barre passed away at her home on Monday, July 8, 2013; she was 64. Dianne was born November 14, 1948 in Raymond, Wash. to James and Irma (Wilson) Gotsis. She was raised at Camp Grisdale and Montesano.
Dianne graduated from Montesano High School in 1967. On November 4, 1972, she married Dave Godfrey in Aberdeen; they divorced in 1996. On April 9, 2003, Dianne married Rick Barre in Reno, Nevada; he survives her at the family home.
Dianne had worked as a school bus driver at Cosmopolis School for 30 years; she retired in 2011.
She was a member of the Grays Harbor Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame in Montesano and also belonged to the Montesano V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandson Cameron, playing bingo, going to casinos and traveling to Reno.
In addition to her loving husband Rick, she also survived by her daughter, Jodi Hochstetler, and grandson, Cameron.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents and her infant son, James Godfrey.
There will be no services.
