Winlock teens injured in I-5 collision

A pair of Winlock teenagers were injured during a collision on I-5 Friday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The 18-year-old male driver of a 2003 Dodge Neon, from Winlock, was traveling north on I-5 near Milepost 82 when a 2001 Isuzu box truck, driven by a 23-year-old Napavine man, struck the rear of the Dodge after the teenager had stopped for traffic.

After the initial collision, a 1998 Jeep Wrangler traveling behind the Isuzu, driven by a 38-year-old Randel woman, was unable to stop in time and struck both the Dodge and the pickup.

Both the driver of the Dodge and his 17-year-old female passenger, also from Winlock, were transported to Providence Centralia Hospital with unspecified injuries. While the driver of the Jeep was also described as injured, she declined transport.
