Centralia woman booked for Winlock assault

A Centralia woman has been booked on multiple charges after fleeing the scene of an assault in Winlock on Friday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

Erin L. Tortorici, 30, was arrested after a 30-year-old Winlock man, described as Torotrici's husband, called to report she had assaulted him at his residence on the 500 block of Haywire Rd., north of Winlock. While en route, deputies were informed Tortorici had fled the scene in a red Ford Explorer and was likely intoxicated, and they made contact with her nearby on the 900 block of Pleasant Valley Rd.

Deputies reported she was visibly intoxicated and, after failing to pass field sobriety tests, Tortorici was booked into the Lewis County Jail for DUI, second-degree driving while license suspended and fourth-degree domestic assault.

Tools, equipment stolen from Winlock home

Miscellaneous tools and equipment were reported stolen from a Winlock area home on Aug. 7, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

Sometime between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., an unknown number of suspects entered a property on the 200 block of Winterroad Rd., south of Winlock, and stole a pressure washer and other miscellaneous tools and equipment, worth an estimated $1,000. It was noted the stolen items were being stored outside the residence.

Winlock woman hit by car prowler at Riffe Lake

A Winlock woman was the victim of a car prowl while boating with friends near Glenoma on Saturday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

The 28-year-old had parked her car at the eastern boat launch of Riffe Lake, south of Glenoma, and had left her purse in her vehicle. After she returned, she found damage to the seals around the windows of her driver and passenger doors, presumably in an attempt to manipulate the locks, and found her trunk latch had been broken.

Stolen were her purse, containing a wallet, ID, concealed weapon permit, credit cards and cash, as well as clothing being stored in the trunk. Her credit cards were later used at a Walmart in Spanaway and a Fred Meyer in Tacoma, though it was noted the transaction in Tacoma did not go through as the cards had been cancelled at that point.

Authorities indicated they are investigating leads related to the theft. It was believed to have taken place between 4:10 and 7:20 p.m.
