CR Baseball Opens with Sweep

The Castle Rock baseball team opened its season with a league doubleheader sweep of White Salmon on Tuesday. Nate Williamson struck out 13 batters in game one in an 8-0 shut-out while Kole Beckers earned the win in a 9-2 shellacking of the Bruins. In game one, Andy Voelker and Carson Horton both went two for three and Nick Harriman contributed a double and knocked in a run. P.J. Catlin had a three run homer in Game two while Beckers went two for two and scored twice.

The Rockets are schedule for games at Kalama on Tuesday and then to host a non-league match-up against Chimacum on Saturday.
