Toledo Tel December drawing
Just a week remains to participate in Toledo Tel's annual December drawing, with this year's prize being a Vizio 40" Smart TV.
To enter, bring a donation to the Toledo Food Bank before the end of the month and, for every five food items or $5 donated, you will receive one entry ticket for the drawing. A winning ticket will then be chosen at random during the Jan. 5 meeting of the Toledo City Council.
The number of entries is limited only by the number of donations you can provide. For more information, call Sheila Richardson at (360) 864-2025.
Jeff Evans returning to Winlock
Magician Jeff Evans will be returning to the Winlock Timberland Library on Jan. 2 for an afternoon of holiday magic, and the public is invited to attend.
Noted for performances that wow both children and adults, Evans is expected to display such spectacles as enchanted ropes, spell-bound money, playing card reindeer, and even an appearance from Santa Clause, himself.
The performance will be free through support from the Friends of the Winlock Timberland Library and is scheduled to run from 2 to 2:45 p.m. For more information, call the library at (360) 785-3461.
