Free chocolate class in Centralia
The Lewis County Extension Campus of Washington State University will be hosting a free chocolate-baking workshop this Friday at Fort Borst Park from 6 to 8 p.m.
Open to all residents, the event will demonstrate recipes for cakes, cookies, fudge, and cheesecakes, all featuring that ever-popular ingredient: Chocolate! Singers requested for gospel performance
The Chehalis Seventh Day Adventist Church will be hosting a free gospel concert Feb. 7, with opportunities for area residents to join in the performance.
The concert itself will start at 6 p.m. at the church (120 Chilvers Rd., Chehalis) while potential singers can join rehearsals scheduled for Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. and Feb. 3 and 5 at 7 p.m.

District 2 holding first aid class
Lewis County Fire District 2, based in Toledo, has scheduled their next first aid/CPR course for Feb. 21 and registration for the event is available now.
Certification is a great way to help contribute to the safety of friends, family and community members during an emergency. Class size is limited, so be sure you register soon, and keep in mind only those who sign up beforehand will be able to take the class.
