Cheese Days is this weekend and everyone is getting ready for the big event. This year it's packed with events, so let's take a look at what is happening.
Thursday:
Toledo Made is located at Art Gallery 505, 205 Cowlitz Street from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Thursday Market, located by the boat ramp, is from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Cheese Days Kick-Off Celebration at Morgan Arts Centre where they toast the 2021 Big Cheese takes place Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. with an entry fee of $10.
Friday:
On Friday, the morning starts at the Newaukum Valley Golf Course with the Cheddar Open. Registration starts at 9:15 a.m., and shotgun at 10:00 a.m. Lunch is provided and the cost is $70 per person.
Toledo Made is located at Art Gallery 505, 205 Cowlitz Street, and is open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Frog Jumping Contest starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes to 7:00 p.m. at Toledo High School. This is a fun event, always interesting to hear the stories about how they catch the frogs. If you have a chance, ask Mayor Dobosh about his frog catching experience.
Bingo at Toledo High School starts at 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Proceeds go to Toledo Youth Soccer.
Donna's Place has live music. Backfire Band starting at 8:00 p.m. I recently had the chance to hear Backfire and appreciate their music.
Saturday:
Saturday there are two places to eat, Breakfast on the Field by the Toledo Lions Club Car and Motorcycle show from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Then you can also eat at the Toledo Senior Center, where you will see the Mighty Fine Seniors. Starting at 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. or however long the food lasts.
Cheddar Run is located at Toledo Fire Station starting at 6:45 a.m.
The 21st Annual Car and Motorcycle show begins at 7:00 a.m.
Food and Vendors are open at 9:00 a.m. at Toledo Middle School.
The Toledo Community Library will be having a Book and Bake Sale on Saturday, July 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We are a library made up of volunteers and receive no funding from Timberland Regional Library. We are very dependent on our Book and Bake Sales to help us pay our bills. Please stop by and support the library.
The Cowlitz River Float is back and there will be a street dance at 10:00 a.m.
The wonderful Toledo Cheese Days Parade starts at 11:00 a.m. Cheese sandwiches will be handed out after the parade at Toledo Presbyterian Church.

BBQ at Toledo Market Fresh is from noon to 5:00 p.m.
Toledo Fire Department will host an open house starting at 12:30 p.m.
Community auction located at Toledo Middle School field starts at 1:00 p.m.
Wine and cheese tasting from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Steamboat Landing.
That evening Donna's Place will host local country singer Chris Guenther at 8:00 p.m. If you have not seen him, he is enjoyable to listen to.
