SAIL exercise class
SAIL exercise classes are held every Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., 11:30 to 12:30 p.m., 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Fridays (to be determined) in the Lobby Cedar Conference Room at Willapa Harbor Hospital, 800 Alder Street, South Bend. SOS meeting
Save Our Selves, a non-religious recovery group, holds it meeting every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Tradewinds multi-purpose room, 4305 Pomeroy Ave. in Tokeland. An SOS recreation group also gets together every Sunday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Shoalwater Bay gymnasium. There is no charge to attend, but donations are always appreciated.

WHHH open
Willapa Harbor Helping Hands office is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The office is located at 115 W. Robert Bush Dr. in South Bend. WHHH provides financial assistance to North Pacific County cancer patients. Assistance may include help with utility bills, rent/mortgage payments, prescription drugs, gas money for medical appointments, food, and other needs. Call 360-875-5550 for further information.

Food Bank Info
The North Pacific County Food Bank, located on the corner of Larch Street and Park Avenue in Raymond, is generally open to serve those in need every Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Commodities are issued beginning the first Thursday of each month until supplies last.
Quilters meeting
The "Willapa Harbor Quilters meet every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church at 913 Duryea in Raymond. Come and join us. Learn a new skill or teach us some of yours.

Library meeting
The Timberland Regional Library will be holding several community check-in meetings and is looking for community feedback on the draft 2020-2022 strategic plan. There will be two meetings in our area - Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hoquiam Timberland Library and one on Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ilwaco Timberland Library. The goal is to have the next version of the 2020-2022 strategic plan available in the TRL September eNewsletter, which will be emailed out after Sept. 20, to give time for the internal committee to review community feedback.
PC Community Trails
Pacific County Community Trails will meet Thursday, Aug. 22nd at 5:30 p.m. in the Grays Harbor Riverview Education Center on Washington St. in Raymond. Everyone is welcome.

The Dr. O. R. Nevitt Memorial Swimming Pool board will meet on Thursday, Aug. 22nd at 5:00 p.m. in the meeting room of Raymond City Hall. Meetings are open to the public.
Unexpected Brass Band
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission presents The Unexpected Brass Band on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7:00 p.m. on the lawn at Waikiki Beach, Cape Disappointment State Park, 244 Robert Gray Dr., Ilwaco. This is a free concert located along Jetty Road near the south end of the park. Bring your own seating, blankets, and insect repellent.

MOPS meeting
Join us for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) on Wednesday, Aug. 28th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Raymond First Baptist Church, 913 Duryea. MOPS is for moms with kids from birth to five.
Halibut season meeting
The Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife is hosting two public meetings to discuss season structure and proposed dates for the 2020 sport halibut season. The meetings will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29 th and Monday, Oct. 28 th from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Montesano City Hall, 112 N. Main St. At the Aug. 29 th meeting state halibut managers will review the 2019 season and work with stakeholders to develop a range of preliminary options focused on general concepts such as ways to extend the season length and maximize fishing opportunities. At the second meeting on Oct. 28th, in addition to refining the options developed at the first meeting, WDFW staff will collect further public inputs, review tide calendars for next spring and select specific season dates in an attempt to balance needs for charter and private fishing interests.
Come and Play
Join the City of South Bend in celebrating its 150th anniversary during the Come and Play On Labor Day Festival. The anniversary party will take place on Saturday, August 31 from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. in the Willapa Harbor Community Center on 1st St. in South Bend with a free concert and light refreshments.
Poker Paddle
The Come and Play on Labor Day 14 th annual poker paddle will be held on Monday, Sept. 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the South Bend city dock. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Prizes and guaranteed fun. All skill levels of paddlers are welcome - this is not a race.
Libraries closed
Timberland Libraries will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 in recognition of Labor Day. Libraries will resume regular schedules on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Raymond Friends/board meeting
The Raymond Timberland Library board and the Friends of the Raymond Timberland Library will meet at the library at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Join them in a discussion of current library building projects, programs, and fundraisers.
Oyster Feed
Brady's Oyster Feed will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 from noon to 5:00 p.m. at 3714 Oyster Place, just off of Hwy. 105.
Park Fall Festival
The 10th Annual Lake Sylvia Park Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the park, 1813 Lake Sylvia Rd. North in Montesano. The festival includes trail races for kids and adults, an early morning pancake breakfast, a kayak paddle, a handmade only artists market with 30 artists, live music, food, commercial, educational and non-profit vendors, kids nature crafts and activities and an interesting historic talk by a local wild west author. A free shuttle bus service will be provided every 15 minutes between Simpson Elementary School on Simpson Ave. and the park. Discover Passes are required for parking in the park.
